In Stillorgan, Co. Dublin, Rencon is in the midst of transforming a traditional family home into a spacious, energy-efficient and future-ready living space. This ambitious project combines a full internal renovation with a new rear extension, structural steelwork for open-plan living, and upgraded systems throughout. While still underway, the works are already reshaping the property into a modern, comfortable and stylish home designed to meet the needs of contemporary family life.
Project Overview
Rencon is currently undertaking a full renovation and rear extension project in Stillorgan, Co. Dublin. This home is being completely reimagined to create a bright, spacious and energy-efficient living space that will meet the demands of modern family life.
The project involves a complete internal overhaul and a new extension to the back of the house. Structural steelwork is being installed to allow for a fully open-plan kitchen, dining and living area — the heart of the redesigned home. A new flat roof will cap the rear extension, giving the property a clean, contemporary profile.
Inside, we’re upgrading every element. Liquid screed with 150 mm of insulation has been added to the floors to maximise comfort and energy efficiency, and underfloor heating will run throughout. The home is receiving brand-new windows and doors, a full rewire and replumb, and a new gas-condensing boiler for reliable, efficient heating. Upstairs, new bedrooms, bathrooms and a custom staircase will complete the transformation.
Although still in progress, this project is already shaping up to be a showcase of thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship. When finished, it will deliver a modern, comfortable and future-ready home for the family to enjoy for years to come.
